Delaware Theatre Company
200 Water St, Wilmington, DE 19801 302-594-1100
Description: RIVERFRONT. Delaware Theatre Company on the Riverfront area has seen much change in their neighborhood and, nearing its 30th year, can say "we were here first!" DTC has gone through some changes, too, and produces professional quality theater, musicals and original drama. The theater seats fewer than 400 for an upclose and personal dramatic experience. The DTC has received several awards for its programming; recent productions include The Diary of Anne Frank, the humorous Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged), ART, Mary's Wedding, and August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. Innovative original set designs invoke imagination. A partnership with First State Children's Theater produces one production especially for youth each year. Supported by a loyal community, patrons and active board, the DTC entertains, inspires and educates.
